Terms of service

These terms cover the CloudLauncher app and its online service (accounts, syncing, sharing and hosting). By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. They are written to be read, so please do.
The service
CloudLauncher is a free Minecraft launcher for Windows run by falling_colud, an independent developer. The online service stores your instances and other content so you can use them on your other PCs and share them with people you choose. It is provided free of charge and as is. Features can change, and the service may be paused or shut down; if it is going to shut down, you will be told in advance so you can download your data.
Your account
- You need to be at least 14, or older if the law where you live requires it. Younger players need a parent or guardian to agree to these terms for them.
- Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- One person, one account. Don't create accounts in bulk or with someone else's e-mail address.
Minecraft
To play you need your own copy of Minecraft: Java Edition, and Microsoft's and Mojang's terms apply to the game. CloudLauncher is not an official Minecraft product and is not approved by or associated with Mojang or Microsoft.
What you upload and share
- What you upload stays yours. You allow the service to store it, copy it between servers, and send it to you and to the people you share it with, only as needed to run the service.
- Only upload and share things you have the right to. Many mods, resource packs and shaders don't allow re-uploading; respect their licenses and their authors' wishes.
- Anything you make public can be seen and downloaded by anyone with a CloudLauncher account.
Things you must not do
- Upload malware, or anything illegal, hateful or sexually explicit.
- Upload content that infringes someone else's rights.
- Harass other people, or use sharing to send spam.
- Attack, overload or probe the service, get around its limits, or access other people's data or accounts.
- Use the service to store files that have nothing to do with Minecraft.
Storage limits
Each account has a storage limit that is shown in the launcher. The limit can change as the service grows. If the server runs short of space, uploads may be refused for a while.
Reports and removal
To report content or an account, or to send a copyright notice, e-mail [email protected] with a link to what you are reporting. Content or accounts that break these terms can be hidden, removed or suspended. You can delete your account and everything it owns at any time in the launcher.
No warranty
The app and the service are provided as is, without warranties of any kind. Keep your own backups of anything that matters to you, especially worlds.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, falling_colud is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data, arising from your use of the app or the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the new version is posted here with a new date, and important changes are announced in the launcher. If you don't agree with a change, you can stop using the service and delete your account.
Law
These terms are governed by Italian law. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring claims in its courts.
